in summer 2011, i went to brazil to find, interview and photograph girls and women* who are survivors of sexualized violence. being a survivor myself, this was the first attempt to develop a project regarding this topic. further experimentations with the theme on several other media led to the award-winning documentary poetry book o martelo.
